The Southern Fried Football Tour made its first visit to beautiful Boone and Kidd Brewer Stadium for a match-up of Top 10 rivals...#1 Georgia Southern and #8 Appalachian State.

GSU quarterback J.R. Revere rushed for four touchdowns to lead the Eagles to a 27-18 win over the Mountaineers.

App State held superstar running back Adrian Peterson to 71 yards, snapping his 48-game streak of rushing for at least 100 yards...but it wasn't enough to stop the #1 ranked Division 1-AA Eagles.

It was App State's first Southern Conference loss at home dating back to 1997...and it also marked the fifth straight time this year on the Southern Fried Football Tour that the visitor has been victorious.

Many thanks for all the fans that stopped by and made us feel right at home...a special thanks goes out to the App State Radio Network and also Kelby Siler and the entire staff from ASU.
